A surgeon and physician-scientist by training, Tobias is a Professor at Ludwig-Maximilians -University of Munich (LMU) and previously headed the Colorectal Cancer Center at LMU University Hospital. He represents Germany on the Bureau of the International Committee for Insurance Medicine (ICLAM) and serves on its Scientific Committee.
