Impact

This accelerates underwriting workflows, drives consistency of approach and supports more confident risk decisions while keeping expert judgement and accountability.

AI across L&H Re treaty operations Transforming treaty operations end to end

Swiss Re uses AI-augmented capabilities to support treaty validation, performance monitoring, and premium and claims assessment across L&H Re. The use case helps teams turn complex treaty information into usable data, improve validation coverage and increase the accuracy and quality of underwriting across treaty portfolios.

User experience

Users gain faster access to validation insights, performance signals and AI-supported recommendations across treaty portfolios. By codifying treaty terms, we create a clearer and more consistent view of contract conditions, helping experts interpret and apply treaties with greater transparency and less manual effort.

This solution reduces manual effort, improves premium and claims validation coverage, and gives Swiss Re and its clients greater transparency and consistency in how treaty terms are interpreted and applied. It also supports faster processing, better alignment and more value-focused discussions with clients.

Transforming insurance claims Corporate Solutions ClaimsGenAI

Swiss Re uses ClaimsGenAI to support claims handling with an AI-powered tool that ingests, classifies and screens more than 40 000 corporate insurance claims annually. Live since mid-2024, this use case draws on more than two decades of unstructured claims data to help identify relevant information, potential irregularities and recovery opportunities faster.

User experience

Claims managers receive automatically extracted and validated claim information, concise summaries and faster access to relevant insights. ClaimsGenAI helps triage documents, organise useful data and provide guidance while keeping claims experts in control of decision-making.

Impact

ClaimsGenAI supports more accurate claims assessment, improves efficiency and helps experts manage high volumes of claims with greater speed and consistency. It contributes to financial and operational impact by helping teams identify potential irregularities, recovery opportunities and relevant claims insights earlier.

End-to-end transformation Corporate Solutions – International Programs

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions leverages AI to remove operational friction and deliver a better client and broker experience in its International Programs business. Rather than improving isolated steps, we are redesigning the entire lifecycle – from onboarding to policy issuance and servicing – as one connected, data-driven process. A first milestone in this transformation journey was the launch of the new Automated Local Policies (ALP) process in July 2026.

User experience

ALP issuance delivers policies faster, with greater consistency and limited handovers, creating a smoother experience for clients. The tool helps teams improve servicing speed, quality and efficiency while keeping human oversight where it matters.

Impact

By applying data-driven rules, automation and AI-enabled workflows, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions is reimagining the process to deliver local policies within five days – significantly faster than the 25 days it took before and the market standard of 45 days.
