Description

Ugo Rondinone used this title previously for a 1998 work featuring a plastic-wrapped stone from the Ticino region of Switzerland along with an edition of Polaroid photos the artist took of the stone. He returned to the title for the 2002 series of "window sculptures" to which the pictured work belongs. These framed panels are a screen that blocks the passage of particular moments yet also a gateway that opens onto an entire universe of memories.
