About the team 

The International Business team was established to build business platform and end to end ecosystem for international insurance programs, that enables insurance brokers and carriers to manage and deliver structured and compliant international and cross-border programs from a single online platform, bringing simplicity and efficiency to our clients and intermediaries through innovative use of data and technology. Customers will experience products and a customer journey that is innovative, consistent, easier to understand and reliable. A strong team is being built to achieve this ambitious technology and data driven business goals. 

About the role 

As a senior engineer on the team, you will apply your well-rounded development skills and familiarity with Cloud technologies to run industry-leading applications. Along with Cloud Architects on the Core Squad, you will help ensure that the applications are secure, scalable, and resilient. Our team works on innovative new products, utilizing a modern development stack and the latest cloud technologies.   

Your responsibilities include: 

With the guidance/assistance of Architects on the Core Squad, this role will be primarily responsible for development of the core applications and services, including: 

• You work closely with the Product Manager and architects to understand the problems, formulate solution proposals and evaluate the implementation effort. 

• Together with the squad you use design thinking techniques to empathize with our customers on their journey and find innovative solutions to solve their problems. 

• You implement secure, compliant and cloud native solutions, building apps that amaze customers by its simplicity. 

• You focus on developing API-centric apps, know the digital ecosystem and integrate your solution with ease with external services. 

• Under the lead and guidance of Technical Architect, you evaluate various upcoming technologies, prototyping and eventually helping draw conclusion on their applicability to our landscape. 

• Develop components that enables quality, re-usability, scalability, availability and maintainability in accordance with the overall Business Strategy and IT standards. 

• Follow design guidelines for application development. 

• Perform peer code reviews. 

• Present and communicate ideas and design to various stakeholder for review and brainstorming. 

• You embrace the DevSecOps culture, automate everything and enable continuous delivery of secure and high-quality software, delivering valuable features at a very fast pace! 

About you

• 6+ years of experience in Application Development 

• Full stack developer with a deep understanding of modern, cloud native architectures and software patterns and experienced on MS Azure's cloud offering 

• Experience in designing & building containarized microservices with C#/.NET/DAPR 

• Experience in building resilient REST API hosts and message/event consumer hosts 

• Experience working in Sql & NoSQL DB like Cosmos & Mongo DB 

• Experience in managing Azure resources & infrastructure is a big plus 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

• Strong understanding of reusable object-oriented software design patterns. 

• Experience with container technologies is a big plus. 

• Good communication and people skills are important. 

• Proficiency in English is mandatory.
