ABOUT THIS ROLE 

This role will have you working within a team of trusted individuals to help achieve innovation in the public and private cloud with use of automation. Building secure stable platforms with its core being self-service for the business units of Swiss Re.

Database as a service squad is looking for a Java DevOps engineer, Working toward AI Ops and Self-healing platforms for cutting edge performance and availability while auto scaling to provide the best cost efficiency of the platform overtime. Daily actives working on agile story task to deliver a successful sprint.

You will be joining a dynamic, very dedicated, and cross-functional Database team located between Hyderabad, Bratislava and Zürich within the Group Technology Services department.

Minimum qualifications

  • 4+ years' working with Java, Spring and Spring boot
  • Well versed with Java best practice and design patterns
  • 2+ years' using Azure or AWS public cloud and/or any private clouds
  • Strong knowledge in Restful API's and writing automated test cases
  • Experience in CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
  • Commitment to quality, care for detail and solution oriented
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • English language proficiency

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Postgres and Oracle Databases
  • Microsoft Azure Certifications is also a bonus
  • Existing experience or excited for the opportunity to learn about machine learning, statistical modelling, etc
  • Knowledge of following tools: Git, maven, OpenAPI and Docker
  • Experienced in infrastructure as code is an advantage, preferred one or more of the following (PowerShell, Puppet, Golang, Terraform, API's)
