Description

In her works Derives 52 and Derives 55, Echakhch refers to a traditional ornamental element from Islamic architecture, a jagged star. Broken up and prolonged, these thick decorative forms could potentially run as an endless line. Again, Ekakhch uses a concrete reference and opens it up toward new and other meanings.
