Article information and share options
Swiss Re announced today that it will continue pursuing its science-based climate targets without SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative) validation. The group's sustainability strategy remains unchanged, including the aim to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, as required by Swiss law.
With its Climate Transition Plan, Swiss Re has set interim milestones on the path to net-zero. Our focus now is on further implementing our sustainability strategy and supporting our clients in their net-zero journey through this highly dynamic environment.
As a reinsurer, understanding, managing and pricing risk is Swiss Re's core business. Our clients remain at the heart of what we do, and we continue to provide them our insights and long-standing expertise in risk management to help navigate climate risks and opportunities arising from the transition to a net-zero economy.
