Werner joined Swiss Re in 2016 and has since held various roles spanning economic and solvency valuation methodologies and Life & Health Risk Management. In 2026, he joined the Life & Health R&D team. Prior to Swiss Re, he worked at Munich Re in Munich, focusing on the development of biometric assumptions for Life & Health products.
Werner holds a diploma in Economics and Statistics from ENSAE, a diploma in Economics from the University of Mannheim, and a PhD in Economics. He is also a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA).
