Wei holds a Detection Technology and Instruments bachelor's degree from Shanghai Jiaotong University.
Before joining (re)insurance industry, Wei had 3 years of working experience in electronic facility research institute, responsible for the research and experimental work of the terminal control equipment of the power grid.
From 2008 to 2019, Wei worked at the HQ of Alltrust Insurance Company Ltd (jointly established by the top 5 energy group in China) and had taken the role as supervisor of Engineering and Property business line and had acted as Chief/Senior UW for various types of engineering business, power and energy operations since 2014.
Wei joined Swiss Re North Asia team as a senior engineering underwriter in February 2020, working on both treaty and facultative business.
We became the member of Center of Competence for renewable energy in Swiss Re in 2024.
