Wang Shiting 王世廷 Chinese Ambassador to Switzerland

Wang Shihting takes up the position of Chinese Ambassador to Switzerland since August 2020.

He has served in the Department of African Affairs of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, Chinese Embassy in Zimbabwe, Chinese Embassy in South Africa, Chinese Embassy in Malawi, Chinese Embassy in Ghana.

He was appointed as Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in South Africa in 2006, Counselor of the Department of African Affairs of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China in 2008, Deputy Director General of the Department of African Affairs of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China in 2013, Ambassador to Malawi in 2015, Ambassador to Ghana in 2017, and Ambassador to Switzerland in 2020.

He graduated from Shandong Normal University, China Foreign Affairs University and George Washington University with a bachelor's degree in history, a bachelor’s degree in law, and a master's degree in international politics and practice.

He is married with a daughter.

王世廷大使于2020年8月到任中国驻瑞士大使。

他曾在中华人民共和国外交部非洲司、中国驻津巴布韦大使馆、驻南非大使馆、驻马拉维大使馆、驻加纳大使馆工作。2006年任驻南非大使馆参赞，2008年任外交部非洲司参赞，2013年任外交部非洲司副司长，2015年任中国驻马拉维大使，2017年任中国驻加纳大使，2020年任中国驻瑞士大使。

王大使毕业于山东师范大学、外交学院、乔治·华盛顿大学，获历史学士、法学士、国际政治与实践硕士学位。

王大使已婚，有一女。
