Ursula Sury Vice President, DIDAS Vice-Director of the School of Computer Science and Information Technology at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts

Function: Ursula Sury has been Vice-Director of the School of Computer Science and Information Technology at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Rotkreuz since 2016 and is Head of Continuing Education

As President of the Board of Directors and Managing Director, she runs "Die Advokatur Sury AG" in which she also practices as an Attorney.

Studies: Ursula Sury studied Law in Zurich and is admitted at the Bar of Lucerne and to all Swiss Courts. She also completed postgraduate studies in Economics and Pedagogy at the University of St.Gallen. 

Activities: Ursula Sury teaches at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts as a Professor for Information Technology Law, Data Protection Law and Copyright Law. She is also a Lecturer at various Universities in the field of Data Protection, IT Law and Governance.

Further: between 2010 and 2014, she was the Data Protection and Public Information Commissioner of the Canton of Valais. From 2015 to 2018, she was Vice President in the Association suisse de la sécurité de l'information (Clusis) of the section Suisse alémanique. She has also been a subject matter expert for Data Protection Audits for the Swiss Association for Quality and Management Systems (SQS) since 2012.
