Thomas Federle Head Facultative Property NCEE CUO P&C Reinsurance

Thomas joined Swiss Re in 2004 as a Senior Facultative Property
Underwriter for the Nordic countries. He has also served other markets including Russia and Germany and been a referral underwriter for Large Corporate Risks globally with a focus on Chemical and Pharmaceutical industries. Since December 2019, he has held the position of Head of Facultative Property Underwriting at in Munich. In his current role, he is responsible for the German and Austrian markets as well as the Nordics and Central and Eastern Europe.

Before joining Swiss Re, he spent 13 years working for insurance companies and a broker in Germany in various Property Underwriting positions.

Thomas started his career as a trainee at Allianz and holds an Advanced Diploma in Insurance. Business Interruption Insurance is at the heart of his interest in underwriting.
