Therese Anthony is responsible for Swiss Re Institute's partnerships and advisory networks and Executive Director of Swiss Re's Strategic Council. A key focus of hers is bringing external perspectives and partnerships at the intersection of re/insurance, technology and geopolitics into Swiss Re.
Prior to her current role, Therese was a Senior Foresight & Advisors Manager providing external strategic advice and foresight into the risk landscape.
When she joined Swiss Re in 2015, Therese worked on strategy and business development in emerging markets, as Senior Manager Growth Market Networks for Swiss Re’s public sector solutions team and later as Senior Client Manager India, Property & Casualty.
Prior to her career in the corporate sector, Therese worked in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development for the German Development Agency Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) (2008-2015), as advisor and interim programme director of the NABARD-GIZ Rural Financial Institutions Programme in India, as a senior advisor financial systems development and advisor to the Access to Insurance Initiative (A2ii).
From 2003-2005 Therese managed EU-funded projects in financial inclusion and sme banking at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
Therese obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (dual degree) from the Accadis, University of Applied Sciences, and the American Business School - Paris, and a Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of Kent.
