Surbhi Gupta is an actuary and data analytics professional with nearly 10 years of experience in Casualty pricing, Casualty R&D, and analytics consulting. She is currently part of the Casualty Pricing North America team in the U.S., where she focuses on pricing reinsurance treaties, analyzing liability market trends, and leading strategic initiatives such as social inflation research.
Surbhi joined Swiss Re in 2017 as an actuarial data scientist and has since held various roles in Casualty R&D, actuarial control, and Casualty pricing, where she developed reinsurance tools, automated actuarial processes, and advanced liability risk modeling. Prior to Swiss Re, she worked as a decision scientist at Mu Sigma, consulting for global insurers and consumer businesses on analytics-driven strategies.
She holds an Engineering degree from Panjab University, India, and will soon be recognized as an Associate Actuary (ACAS) from the Casualty Actuarial Society. She is based in Swiss Re's Armonk, NY office.
