Stephan Ruckaberle Senior Product Manager CUO P&C Reinsurance

Stephan is Senior Solution Manager for Swiss Re's Engineering Digital suite, which holds also the PUMA underwriting platform for construction, engineering, and infrastructure risks. In his function Stephan is responsible for our future-ready and digital ecosystem and to deliver this to the customers of Swiss Re Group.

Stephan works closely with the internal product teams on our roadmap and the ability to integrate PUMA and all related digital components into our client's landscapes, as well as he seeks to advice clients how to maximize the value add out of our Engineering Digital platform. All this under the paradigm to help clients increase the profitability and efficiency of their engineering books by applying a best-in-class underwriting approach, as well as improving portfolio steering capabilities by leveraging a wide set of digital capabilities to assess, price and manage such risks.

Prior to joining Swiss Re, Stephan worked at one of the largest global primary insurance players in the central COO area. Before, he worked as manager in an international management consultancy. There, he served international clients with a focus on the insurance industry. At a European life insurance company, he was responsible for product management and go-to-market strategies, and launched life and pension products in the markets, and also managed national insurance pools.

He started his career as a property underwriter for commercial business in a global insurance firm. Stephan holds a diploma in economics from the University of Stuttgart-Hohenheim.
