Stephan Lämmle Senior Consultant

Stephan is an insurance/reinsurance professional with more than 28 years’ experience worldwide. He is a graduate engineer by profession specialised in power plant technology and worked as a project manager in the power plant industry for 4 years. Stephan holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Dipl.-Ing. Univ.) from the Technical University of Munich.

He joined Munich Re in 1995 and since then he has worked in various functions in Underwriting and Management of Property and Engineering business.

Stephan was seconded to Munich Re of Africa initially followed by Munich Re UK General Branch in London until 2002. After his return to Munich he assumed the role of Head of Section for Asia Australia Pacific facultative Underwriting and was appointed Head of Department Engineering in Munich Re Corporate Insurance Partners in 2014.

Stephan is chairman of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of IMIA The International Association of Engineering Insurers.
