Shihting Wang Chinese Ambassador to Switzerland

Wang Shihting takes up the position of Chinese Ambassador to Switzerland since August 2020.

Ambassador WANG Shihting has served in the Africa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, the Chinese Embassy in Zimbabwe, the Chinese Embassy in South Africa, the Chinese Embassy in Malawi, the Chinese Embassy in Ghana, and now he is serving in the Chinese Embassy in Switzerland. In 2006, he took up the post at the Embassy in South Africa as an Embassy Counselor. In 2008, he was appointed as an embassy counselor and deputy director of the Africa Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 2015, he was appointed Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Malawi, and in 2017, Ambassador to Ghana. In 2020, he was appointed as Chinese Ambassador to Switzerland.

Mr. Ambassador WANG graduated from Shandong Normal University, China Foreign Affairs University and George Washington University with a bachelor's degree in history and law and a master's degree in international politics and practice.

He is married and has one daughter.

He will take up the post of Chinese Ambassador to Switzerland in August 2020.
