Shari is the Team Lead for Life & Health ("L&H") Claims, Southeast Asia at Swiss Re, based in Singapore, with over 20 years of experience in the life insurance and reinsurance industry. She brings extensive expertise in claims management, client servicing, and risk assessment, developed through prior roles at several leading direct insurers and an insurance brokerage firm.
In her current role, Shari leads the Southeast Asia claims team, overseeing the effective management of claim liabilities through robust client engagement, sound adjudication practices, and proactive risk strategies. She partners closely with the Market Unit to support business development initiatives, including tendering for new opportunities, driving product innovation, and enhancing claims capabilities and visibility across the region.
Shari collaborates with cross-functional teams to strengthen client relationships and deliver value-added services such as training, strategic claims reviews, portfolio analysis, and tailored claims support. She also plays a key role in assessing client-referred claims and helping improve clients’ claims handling standards through structured reviews and actionable insights.
Shari holds a Bachelor of Science degree with Second Class Honours in Banking & Finance, and is recognized for her strategic leadership and dedication to advancing claims excellence throughout the region.
