Sergio Lopez Jimenez Head L&H Research Forecasting CUO L&H Reinsurance

Sergio joined Swiss Re in 2013 and is Head L&H Research and Forecasting. 

In his current role, he leads a team of experts – from researchers to actuaries – focusing on biometric risks. He is responsible for delivering a research agenda and thought leadership strategy, bringing business impact across the Swiss Re L&H Reinsurance business. Together with his team, he also provides scientific consultancy and steers academic and industry partnerships. 

Sergio has held different roles spanning from different parts of the insurance value chain (primary and reinsurance) to different lines of business (mortality, disability, critical illness and medical) and different locations (EMEA, Americas and Asia). He is a FIA qualified actuary in the UK by the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, and in Spain by the Spanish Institute of Actuaries. 

Sergio is a proud father of three and enjoys spending time with his family.
