Sergio Ibanez currently leads the Americas digitization/eAdministration efforts for Swiss Re Reinsurance P&C and Chairs the ACORD / Ruschlikon North America Implementation group. In this role, Sergio is focused on promoting and implementing the ACORD/Ruschlikon digital administration standard throughout the region; He is based in the company’s Americas Division headquarters in Armonk, NY.
Sergio started his insurance career more than 25 years ago as External Consultant specialized in Balanced Scorecard and Performance Management in Mexico City. He joined Swiss Re a year later as Processes and Systems Manager for the Latin America division.
In 2000, he moved to Zurich, Switzerland as Project Manager for the Americas for the implementation of a global Reinsurance system. In 2003 he was named CFO (Chief Financial Officer) for the Latin America division being responsible for Reinsurance Accounting, Financial Accounting as well as Legal and Taxes units for the region.
In 2007, he moved to Armonk, NY in a leadership role for the Americas P&C Reinsurance Accounting unit. He has since, held different regional and global leadership roles which also include to managing and overseeing off-shore and on-shore teams.
Sergio holds a B.S. in Business Administration from ITESM and a MBA from the IPADE Business School.
Sergio is married with three children. He and his family reside in Westchester county, New York.
