Sarah Sio Chief Financial Officer Asia Hannover Re

Sarah Sio, a highly accomplished finance professional with a Fellowship of ACCA and a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. Sarah started her career with KPMG in 2010 joined Hannover-Re Malaysia Branch, where she has since progressed to become the Head of Finance & Accounting.

Currently, Sarah manages a team of over 20 and oversees all aspects of finance in Hannover Re Malaysia Branch, including corporate accounting, tax, technical accounting, claims, and more. She brings a wealth of experience to her role, having played a lead role in the standardisation of technical accounting, roll-out of Accord Platform, and 100% digitisation of key accounting processes. Her efforts have enabled a paperless and flexible working lifestyle, contributing to ESG initiatives in ways and improving the social responsibility of the company.
