Sara Leuenberger Climate Risk Specialist CUO P&C Reinsurance

Sara is a Climate Risk Specialist within the Cat Perils Team at Swiss Re, responsible for developing and advancing the company's proprietary global natural catastrophe risk-assessment framework. In her role, Sara focuses on the impact of climate change on natural hazards in the Property Reinsurance space. In addition, she collaborates closely with stakeholders across the organization to address regulatory requirements regarding sustainability and climate risk.

Before her current position, Sara worked with clients in Swiss Re's Reinsurance Solutions, ensuring the successful delivery of Property Solutions products. Her initial industry experience was at PartnerRe, where she established a strong technical foundation in catastrophe modeling and tool development.

Sara holds an MSc. in Environmental Science from ETH Zurich, specializing in Atmosphere and Climate Science. She is passionate about extreme weather, science communication and process-optimization.
