Ryan Buttrey Senior Client Underwriter Market Units P&C Reinsurance

Ryan is a Vice President in Swiss Re's Casualty Underwriting division holding the title Casualty Treaty Underwriter. In his role, he is responsible for underwriting casualty treaty reinsurance as well as portfolio management and steering for North American Liability, Motor, and Workers' Compensation lines of business.

Before joining Swiss Re, Ryan spent 10 years in the primary insurance market as a complex casualty underwriter, portfolio owner, and product developer.

Ryan has obtained his CPCU, ARe, and ARM from the Institutes and graduated from the University of Missouri with a bachelor's degree in finance and a master's degree in Data Science and Analytics.
