Rafael Schneider is Market Head Mediterranean & Middle East at Swiss Re. He is responsible for leading Swiss Re’s Property & Casualty business across the region, partnering with clients to deliver innovative risk and capital management solutions.
Rafael has held a variety of leadership roles across Swiss Re, spanning underwriting, client management, and portfolio oversight. Prior to his current position, he served as Head Germany. Earlier roles included Deputy Regional Manager for Southern Africa and Head of the Global MGA & Client Review Team, where he was responsible for Swiss Re’s strategic MGA portfolio and partner selection.
Rafael holds a Master’s degree in Physics and Economics, is a qualified actuary, and is a member of the German Actuarial Society. Outside of work, he enjoys mountain biking in the Alps.
