Montserrat Alfonso Tort Head Engineering France & Belux CUO P&C Reinsurance

Montserrat Alfonso joined Swiss Re in 2012. In her role as Engineering Underwriter, she is responsible for both treaty and facultative reinsurance for France, Belgium and Luxembourg. In 2001, Montserrat began her career as Concrete and Building Material expert at BASF Construction Chemicals, holding several positions (R&D, technical support, intellectual property…) until 2012. She holds a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University Of Barcelona (UB) and a PhD in Material Science from the University of Neuchâtel.
