Monica Ningen is CEO of US P&C and is responsible for the company’s Property & Casualty reinsurance business in this market unit, effective July 1, 2023. Prior to this role, she was President and CEO of Swiss Re Canada and the English Caribbean since 2018. Monica was the Chief Agent of the Swiss Re P&C and Life & Health Canadian Branches and held the role as Swiss Re Country President for Canada.
Monica was previously Head of Property Underwriting for the US & Canada and Chief Property Underwriter and managed the underwriting performance of Swiss Re's property fire and natural catastrophe business in the region. Before that, she was Head of Property Underwriting-Regional & National and Head of Property Treaty Underwriting for Swiss Re's Kansas City hub.
Monica joined Swiss Re with the 2006 acquisition of GE Insurance Solutions, where she was responsible for Catastrophe Risk Management globally. Before that she held the position of Six Sigma Master Black Belt where she led Six Sigma initiatives for the Risk Management, Underwriting and Actuarial departments. Monica joined Employers Reinsurance Corporation in 2000 and began her career with EW Blanch.
