Mert Aral is the Head of Clinical R&D at Huma. He is responsible for developing and executing research in digital biomarkers and predictive analytics, with a focus on clinical outcomes associated with remote patient monitoring and population health. In addition to leading these initiatives, Dr. Aral is part of the executive team driving growth in several industry verticals including life sciences partnerships, national population health initiatives and insurance.

Prior to Huma, Mert Aral was practicing as a clinician in the NHS for six years, predominantly based at Specialist Heart and Lung Centres of Excellence in Cambridge and London, most recently as Cardiology Registrar at Barts Heart Centre. Mert Aral completed his medical training at King’s College London and holds a MSc in Cardiovascular Research and a BSc in Physiology and Biomedicine from University College London.
