Melanie Lok Claims Expert Market Units P&C Reinsurance

Melanie is a Vice President and Claims Expert at Swiss Re in P&C Asia focusing on casualty claims within the Hong Kong and Taiwan markets. She regularly contributes to the global Liability Expert Network and global Non-Life Accident and Health Expert Networks, focusing on worldwide claims trends and legal and regulatory developments as a representative from Asia. Prior to joining Swiss Re in August 2022 from an international law firm, Melanie has worked as a solicitor in Hong Kong since 2011 specializing in casualty and liability claims. During her time in the legal industry, she was a secondee to the claims departments of several multinational primary insurers to handle liability, employee's compensation and motor claims, including large and complex matters. She has also given many presentations to insurance companies and large corporations on various liability related topics during her career. Melanie is admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Hong Kong.
