Martin Pfister is the Head of Credit & Surety Reinsurance of Swiss Re, effective 3 April 2023. In this role, he and his team cover the global reinsurance business for credit, surety and political risk insurance.
Martin has almost 20 years of experience in the (re)insurance industry. He joined Swiss Re in 2014 holding various Finance roles since, including Head Financial Planning & Analysis EMEA and CFO Swiss Re Protection Partners. Before joining Swiss Re, he worked for the AXA Group in Winterthur and Paris in various roles in Risk Management, Asset Management and Finance.
Martin holds a Master of Science degree in Mathematics from the Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich.
