Martin Kunz Group Chief Technology Officer Pictet

Martin Kunz joined Pictet in 1994, where he designed and led the implementation of a Portfolio Management System for both Private Banking and Asset Management. He began his career at UBS, conducting financial forecasting and research using neural networks.

From 2004 to 2025, Martin held senior technology roles at Pictet Asset Management, first as Chief Technology Officer and later as Chief Technology and Operations Officer, serving as a member of the Executive Committee. During this period, he oversaw the integration and development of a suite of applications, enabling the business to service, manage, and distribute mutual funds and institutional mandates more effectively.

He led the Agile transformation of the technology function and initiated the modernisation of Pictet Asset Management’s technology landscape, focusing on real-time, cloud, and data-driven applications. He also empowered business users to conduct their own developments on cloud infrastructure. In June 2025, Martin rejoined Pictet as Group Chief Technology Officer and became a member of the Group Executive Committee.

Martin graduated in Computer Science from EPFL in 1992. He subsequently obtained the CIIA from AZEK, attended the Program for Executive Development at IMD in 2002, and earned the FRM certificate from GARP in 2005.
