Martin Boerlin is the Head of the Casualty Pricing North America team within P&C Re at Swiss Re. In this role he oversees activities related to pricing, trend and market studies as well as analytics for the US Casualty business.
He joined Swiss Re in 2010 as a Nat Cat Steering Specialist and held various positions in Property Treaty Underwriting and Business Steering, working out of Zurich, Miami and Armonk. Prior to his current role, he was the Head of Casualty R&D Americas where he and his team used advanced analytics to identify key Casualty risk drivers and develop forward-looking assessments of their impact on Swiss Re's Casualty portfolio.
Martin holds an MSc. in Physics from ETH Zurich and a PhD in Computational Neuroscience from Ecole Normale Superieure Paris. He is based in Swiss Re's Armonk Office.
