Leonora Siccardi Chief Operating Officer Aon Reinsurance Solutions

Leonora is the chief operating officer for Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions, responsible for developing and driving the operational and technology strategy in support of Aon’s growth plan. In this role, Leonora leads the Operations, Claims, Contracts, Client Services and Risk capabilities across Aon’s reinsurance business. Leonora is a member of Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions Executive Committee and Global Inclusive Leadership Council.

Leonora has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. After working for Munich Re in Italy and Willis in London, Leonora joined Aon in 2006 as claims manager for the Southern European Group Division. In 2010, she became team leader for the Claims Co-ordination Division of Aon UK Financial Services Group and in 2012, moved to Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions business to become head of the facultative EMEA Claims Division. In 2014, Leonora was promoted to head of claims for the Global Broking Centre in London and was responsible for the development and delivery of the Claims strategy across the business. In 2017, she was asked to lead Client Services for Reinsurance Solutions in the UK & EMEA. One year later Leonora’s responsibilities were expanded to include the role of UK and EMEA chief operating officer.

In 2020, Leonora was promoted to chief operating officer for Aon’s EMEA region across Solution Lines and as member of Aon’s Global Operations Leadership Group. Most recently in 2022, Leonora was appointed as chief operating officer for Aon's Reinsurance Solutions business, with oversight of Aon’s Strategy and Technology Group. 

Leonora graduated in Law from the University of Genoa and subsequently consolidated her insurance expertise with a Master’s degree in Risk Management from Bocconi Business School in Milan and has completed further education with the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

In her spare time, Leonora is a keen runner and enjoys travelling.
