Karim Gilani President, Greater China, Singapore & International High Net Worth Karim Gilani is the President, Greater China, Singapore & International High Net Worth, leading the development and expansion of Sun Life’s business across its offices in Hong Kong, Bermuda and Singapore. He is responsible for driving the company’s growth in these key markets by delivering tailored products and solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients. Karim joined Sun Life Asia in 2015 as Chief Risk Officer, overseeing risk management across the region. In 2017, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Sun Life Asia, and in 2019, he took on the role of Chief Financial Officer and Strategic Integration, Asia before moving to his current role in 2021. Prior to Sun Life, he held a variety of roles in Risk, Actuarial, Products, Reinsurance and Consulting in Asia and North America. Karim holds a bachelor’s degree in science specializing in actuarial science with a major in commerce & finance from the University of Toronto. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA).
