Juan Manuel Avella Marine Underwriter CUO P&C Reinsurance

With an academic background in International Relations and International Maritime Law, Juan Manuel began his career in the marine insurance industry at the Latin American Association of Marine Underwriters (ALSUM), where he served as Technical Leader, responsible for training underwriters in Cargo and Hull insurance.

He joined the Swiss Re team in July 2023. He is currently based in the Mexico City office, where he primarily serves business across the Andean Region.
