Joan D'Ambrosio Partner at Atheria Law

Joan leads a team of over thirty professionals representing insurers in respect of technology, media, intellectual property, and privacy claims, including data security and privacy breaches. Her team has worked on thousands of data breach incidents, from individual matters to the largest healthcare, retail, hospitality, education, and government incidents reported.

Joan regularly participates in cyber and privacy industry conferences, including most recently serving as co-chair for the Net Diligence Cyber Risk Summit held in San Diego in June 2025.

Joan is recognized by Chambers USA in California in the Insurance: Insurer category and frequently has been selected to Thomson Reuters Super Lawyers list, including for 2022-2025. She received her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, and her B.A. (magna cum laude) from the University of California, San Diego.
