Jesse Song is Head of L&H Asia Medical Reinsurance of Swiss Re. She leads the Asia Medical pricing team and together, with the broader cross functional teams, help clients profitably grow their Medical Portfolios in Asia market.
Jesse has 20 years of experience in insurance and healthcare sectors in both China and the US market. Her experience is diverse and includes product development, pricing, valuation, financial modeling and data analytics. Before joining Swiss Re, Jesse was head of Actuarial and Data Science Department of CIGNA & CMB where she oversees product pricing and actuarial valuation functions, as well as data analytics team that provides data solution to distribution, retention and risk management. Jesse also has held other leadership roles with WellPoint China and Mercer Consulting. Before relocating to China in 2010, Jesse worked as a healthcare actuarial consultant with Deloitte Consulting in the US.
Jesse Song is a Fellow of the Society of the Actuaries (FSA), a Fellow of China Associations of Actuaries (FCCA), and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA). Jesse obtained her Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her Bachelor’s degree from Tsinghua University.
