Jeremy Lane Head L&H Mortality Services US, Managing Director Swiss Re

Jeremy joined Swiss Re in 2002 and currently works as Head L&H Mortality Services US. In this role, Jeremy oversees pricing, underwriting, actuarial assumption development and claims for the US market unit. In addition, Jeremy serves as a member of the US Market Unit Leadership Team. 

Previously, Jeremy led the Americas Products function with responsibility for pricing, actuarial R&D and Underwriting across the US, Canada and Latin America. Jeremy also created the Actuarial Innovation team that focused on assessing the mortality and pricing implications for new tools and pricing innovative offerings developed with Swiss Re's clients. Prior to that, Jeremy spent five years as Head Marketing Actuaries within Client Markets where he managed a team of actuaries that serve as the key contacts for Swiss Re's client base, while also overseeing individual life reinsurance origination efforts.

Jeremy also served as an Executive Client Manager for the Americas Life & Health team, managing Swiss Re’s relationship with multiple clients across the Midwest. Prior to that role, Jeremy spent several years as a Marketing Actuary for Life Reinsurance operations with a focus on global clients. 

Jeremy previously served as the webcast coordinator of the SOA Reinsurance Section Council. As a graduate of Ball State University’s Actuarial Science program, Jeremy has also previously served as the chairman and a member of the Ball State Actuarial Advisory Board. Jeremy regularly presents at industry meetings and earned his FSA as well as his CERA designation in 2008.  

Outside of the office, Jeremy keeps busy with his four children and enjoys golf and snow skiing. For the past several years, Jeremy has been actively involved as a fundraiser for the local Junior Achievement group and spends many hours coaching youth basketball.
