Jens Mehlhorn Head Property UW EMEA

Jens Mehlhorn is Head Property Underwriting EMEA. Jens steers the EMEA-wide property treaty portfolio excluding Globals and International Business. He enjoys collaborating closely with clients in the region on their larger and complex programs.

Jens joined Swiss Re in March 2000 as a Natural Catastrophe Specialist. Between 2003 and 2014, he was the Head of Flood Group where he led and built up Swiss Re's flood risk assessment tool landscape. Starting in 2014, he was the Head of Property Underwriting for treaty business in Latin America for 5 years. Prior to taking on his current responsibilities in EMEA, Jens headed the Property Underwriting team in Japan. Jens has a PhD in Natural Sciences from University of Freiburg, Germany.
