Dr Crellin studied medicine at the University of Oxford before completing further training in general practice. She worked as a GP in Warwickshire in a range of practices with diverse populations and supported training of junior doctors and medical students in her surgery.
She joined the world of insurance and Swiss Re in 2023. She moved to South Africa for a year with her young family and enjoyed living in a new country, working with the team and learning about the market there. She is now back in the UK, continuing to support the South Africa office and the wider EMEA team. Day-to-day work involves medical support on individual underwriting and claims cases, internal and external training on medical conditions, support with medical topics for publications and work with clients on product definitions. She has also returned to general practice one day a week to keep up to date with clinical work and developments.
