Professional experience
Henock Teklu started his career in banking at Morgan Stanley,
Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank in London and New York. In
2009, he joined Allianz in Munich as Investment Manager and Special
Assistant to the Group CFO and CIO Office. In 2014, he moved to
Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) in New York, serving as Investment
Principal and Deal Captain. He joined BlackRock in 2018 as Senior
Portfolio Manager at BlackRock Alternative Investors, and
subsequently became Global Head of Structured Credit within
BlackRock's Financial Institutions Group. From 2023 to 2026, he
served as Acting Chief Operating Officer and Chief of Staff of
BlackRock's Portfolio Management Group. In April 2026, Henock
Teklu joined Swiss Re as Group Chief Transformation Officer and
Group Chief of Staff, and member of the Group Executive Committee.
