Fabian Winter Group Chief Data Officer Munich Re

Fabian joined Munich Re in 2009 and since then, he has worked data analytics topics and projects in primary- and reinsurance for Munich Re and its clients. Fabian is the Group Chief Data Officer, therefore responsible for all Data, Analytics and Artificial Intelligence strategy, development and progress in Munich Re.

Fabian is a member of the supervisory board of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), co-founder of the German Data Science association (GDS) and a member of the steering board of the Quantum Technology and Application Consortium (QUTAC).

Prior to his work with Munich Re, Fabian worked as management strategy consultant with a focus on primary and reinsurance topics. He holds a Diploma in Statistics from the University of Munich and a PhD from the University of Heidelberg.
