With a Swiss Re career spanning over three decades, Elena Jelmini Cellerini brings deep, cross-functional expertise in complex claims management across global markets. Since joining the company in Zurich in 1994, she has held a series of senior claims roles across both the Reinsurance division and Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, the Group’s direct commercial insurance arm. Her track record reflects a consistent focus on high-impact cases and strategic claims leadership.
From 2014, Elena channeled her expertise into the emerging field of cyber insurance, quickly establishing herself as a key voice in the space. Her appointment as Global Cyber Claims Network Leader in 2019 marked a pivotal step not only in her own career but also in strengthening Swiss Re’s position at the forefront of cyber risk. In this role, she leads the Group’s global cyber claims strategy and acts as a trusted advisor across the organisation on this rapidly evolving risk landscape.
Elena also serves on Swiss Re’s Key Case Committee and acts as a Key Case Advisor, providing strategic oversight on the Group’s most complex, high-value, and multi-jurisdictional claims across lines of business.
