Elaine O'Brien Head Sustainability Risk Mgmt Group Risk Management

Elaine O'Brien is Head of Sustainability Risk Management in Swiss Re. Her team oversees and advances Swiss Re's ESG Risk Framework and performs the due diligence of transactions against this framework. Prior to this role, she worked within Swiss Re on building sustainable business partnerships with corporates and was Swiss Re's liaison delegate to the World Business Council for Sustainable Business (WBCSD). She is enthusiastic about environmental preservation and the protection of human rights. Elaine has over 15 years of experience in transformational business activities in the financial services sector, with various roles based out of Zurich, Cape Town, Brussels, Dublin, and the San Francisco Bay Area. She has a Master of International and European Law from the University of Amsterdam and a Postgraduate in Sustainable Business from the University of Cambridge.
