Drashti Shah joined the Swiss Re Institute as an Economist in February 2024, based in Bangalore in India. Her interests are in macro and labour economics, international finance and public policy. In her previous role, Drashti worked as a Research Analyst with the Economic Research Group of ICICI Bank in Mumbai. She has also worked in the Economics and Finance department of the government think tank NITI Aayog in New Delhi.
Drashti is a recipient of Chevening scholarship and has a master's degree in economics from the University of Warwick and the Mumbai School of Economics and Public Policy. With a passion for teaching, she has previously been visiting faculty for Economics at R. A. Podar College of Commerce and Economics, also in Mumbai.
