Dr. Oliver Wing Chief Scientific Officer Fathom

Dr. Oliver Wing is Chief Scientific Officer at Fathom, where he leads the company’s scientific research and the development of its flood risk products. He ensures these products are grounded in rigorous academic research, using modelling techniques that are research-driven, transparent, and peer-reviewed.

He earned his PhD in Geography from the University of Bristol, where he is an Honorary Research Fellow in the Hydrology Research Group. Dr. Wing continues to publish and review in leading hydrology journals, speaks regularly at academic and industry forums on flooding and climate change, and serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Catastrophe Risk and Resilience.
