Dr. Ania Apolinarska Postdoctoral Fellow NCCR Digital Fabrication, ETH Zurich

Aleksandra Anna (Ania) Apolinarska is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Gramazio Kohler Research (GKR) at ETH Zurich and within the NCCR Digital Fabrication where she has been responsible for a number of research and industry collaboration projects with specific focus on timber assemblies. In her current research, Ania is developing innovative computational design methods that address complex interrelations between multiple design objectives such as geometry, structural performance and robotic fabrication. Ania studied architecture at Poznan University of Technology, ETH Zurich and University of Stuttgart. She holds a Doctor of Sciences degree from ETH Zurich for her PhD Thesis on “Complex Timber Structures from Simple Elements”.
