Dean has 30 years combined experience in insurance as well as reinsurance within the realms of marine underwriting and sales.
In his role as a Head of Marine Product Centre, his duties include analysis and steering of the Swiss Re global marine portfolio, auditing of Swiss Re underwriters and portfolios globally, providing education and assistance to front line underwriters for referral cases, providing underwriting assistance and expertise including compliance matters. Development of computer based marine underwriting tools. Providing training and instruction for all marine class insurance and reinsurance for staff and for clients are also amongst his many duties within the Marine Product Centre of Swiss Re.
Prior to Swiss Re, Dean held various roles as Senior Marine Underwriter within various primary marine insurance markets and also worked as marine broker as well as captive marine manger in Asia.
