In his role as **Head of Marine Product Centre**, he is responsible for the analysis and technical oversight of Swiss Re’s global Marine portfolio, conducting audits of Marine underwriters and portfolios worldwide, and providing training and support to frontline underwriters on cases requiring escalation. He also provides technical underwriting support, including matters related to regulatory compliance, and contributes to the development of IT tools for Marine risk underwriting. His responsibilities also include delivering insurance and reinsurance training across all Marine lines, both to Swiss Re employees and clients.
Prior to joining Swiss Re, Dean held various positions as a Senior Marine Underwriter with several primary-market insurers. He also worked as a marine insurance broker and as the manager of a captive insurance company specializing in Marine risks in Asia.
