Cathy Church Claims Expert Market Units P&C Reinsurance

Cathy began her career in reinsurance at a broking house and has been in the industry over 35 years.

She joined GE Re as a claims handler in 2003 (GE subsequently merged with Swiss Re in 2006) specialising in US APH (Asbestos, pollution, Health hazard) and was the dedicated claims expert in this field for the European region.

She has since developed broader casualty knowledge and handles complex US and UK casualty claims including professional lines and D&O.

Cathy spent 3 months at Swiss Re's Beijing office providing support to the claims department and offered training in environmental claims liability to colleagues, including underwriters.

She is on the Steering Committee of Insurance Association IntAP, and is acting Secretary.
