Blake Kuppersmith Head Facultative Re North America

Blake has been with Swiss Re since 2003, joining through the International Graduate Program. He currently serves as Head Facultative Re North America based in Alpharetta, GA. Throughout his tenure, Blake has held various roles within the Facultative division, such as Casualty Underwriter and Head Property North America.

Blake graduated from Illinois State University with a double major in Finance and Insurance. He is an alumnus of the Katie School of Insurance and Risk Management at Illinois State University, where he now represents Swiss Re on the Board. In this role, he contributes to curriculum development and talent recruitment.

The Facultative unit at Swiss Re is responsible for the production and underwriting of property and casualty lines, catering to both global clients and regional companies. The unit operates through direct and broker channels with major hubs in New York, Alpharetta, Chicago and Toronto. Facultative offers capacity through several products, including Individual Risk, Facilities and SwiftRe.

Outside of work, Blake enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, traveling and supporting their various sports and activities.
