Benjamin Semugga is a Senior Marketing Actuary at Swiss Re’s Life and Health division. He specialises in blending traditional reinsurance with capital and liquidity optimisation solutions to address client needs.

With more than a decade of experience across the Life and Investments sectors, Benjamin’s expertise spans product development and distribution, balance sheet reporting, and actuarial valuations across Sub-Saharan Africa.

He is a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa, holds a BSc (Hons) in Actuarial Science from the University of Pretoria and is currently an EMBA candidate at INSEAD. Benjamin’s passion lies in driving economic development throughout Africa - a mission he believes will help transform the world.
